| The International EFL Teacher Trainer Certificate will get you there! |
The Boland School International EFL Teacher Trainer Certificate (I.E.T.T.C.), a 125-hour, intensive four-week teacher-training course focuses on everything you'll need to get started in a new career as a TEFL Teacher Trainer, including job placement. Held at one of two great international locations, China and the Czech Republic, the course is designed for experienced teachers of English as a foreign language. Those who have six or more years of EFL teaching experience abroad, and are ready to share their knowledge and experience with those just entering the TEFL field are eligible for the program. The course covers the standard curriculum included in every quality TEFL Training program, and focuses on how to present and effectively teach each topic to native speakers of English who would like to start new careers as TEFL teachers. The areas of
- T.E.F.L. course curriculum,
- E.S.L. Level assessment,
- T.E.F.L. Class planning,
- Grammar,
- Activities,
- Role plays,
- Games
- Audio-visuals,
- E.F.L. Testing,
- C.A.L.L. - computer assisted language learning,
and many other topics are introduced from the TEFL trainer's perspective. The focus of the course is upon how to train native English speakers (many of whom may have little to no knowledge of the formal construction of their own language) to teach the very same topics to EFL students in an effective and interesting manner using the direct method.
The course gives an introduction to a range of textbook series popularly used in TEFL Training, as well as some of the standard theory books upon which many TEFL Training programs are based. The course provides each trainee with 15 hours of hands-on classroom experience in teaching presentations and another 6 hours of teaching real TEFL classes of native English speakers. Additionally, there is optional direct job placement for all course graduates at a wide range of TEFL teacher training centers worldwide.
